Deutschesfest. Upwards of 20,000 people converge on the community for the event, which is held the third full weekend in September. German food, good music, a block-long Biergarten and many other activities draw the RVs and guests to town.

Spring Fling, held the last Friday and Saturday of April, is the first major activity of the year. It offers visitors a wide variety of activities, including a nationally recognized quilt show with over 150 quilts on display, a horseshoe tournament, Auto Show and Shine at Reiman Park, yard sales, arts and crafts and many more activities for all ages.

Christmas Fest brings the old and the new together as the town leans towards an old fashioned German Christmas, with an arts and crafts exhibition in the Community Center. The Lions Club provides a large Christmas greeting board for local citizens to say "Merry Christmas."

March - Annual Quilt Til You Wilt.
18 hours of continuous quilting, 6 am to 12 midnight,  602 E Amende Drive, Christ Lutheran Church  Fellowship Hall.

April - Stumpjumpers Motorcycle Club Desert 100; The World Famous Desert 100, Family Poker Run, Iron Man Poker Run, Dual Sport. Fun for the entire family!

April - Spring Fling Quilt Show.

September - Annual Deutschesfest celebration of German heritage with such events as bed race, outdoor entertainment, Biergarten, youth garten, German food booths, arts and crafts show, flea market, parade, fun run and more.

September - Antique Quilt Display at St. Matthews Historic Church.  Alder Street and 4th Avenue.  Click here to view the photo gallery of quilts from past shows.

October - White Knuckle Motorcycle Enduro Race. One mile south of town on Highway 21.  Click here for the upcoming events news.

November - Lions Club Turkey Carnival held at the Odessa Community Center with games and prizes for the children. There is also bingo and dice with prizes and frozen turkeys, a lunch counter with hamburgers, and homemade pies.

Every Monday - The Odessa Quilt Club meets every Monday evening at 7, in the workshop at the Odessa Historiches Museum Barn. All are welcome, there are no membership dues.
